a Rochester Engagement Session at The Lamberton Conservatory
I shared a sneak peek from the final stop on Instagram and immediately got hit with the “okay but WHERE is the rest of this session?” messages. So naturally… I'm giving the people what they want. The full true
Rochester Engagement.
Jordan, Amanda, and I started at the Lamberton Conservatory in Highland Park, one of my favorite Rochester engagement session locations year-round. The glass ceilings, warm light, and lush greenery make it feel cozy, romantic, and a little nostalgic — especially perfect for couples who want something more intimate and documentary in feel.
Since it was early November (and, well… Upstate NY), we weren’t totally sure what the weather was going to do, so this was a safe bet that still felt elevated and intentional. It’s also a great option if you’re not into wide-open fields but still want variety, texture, and a space that feels timeless.
Every corner feels different, and no two sessions here ever look the same. That’s what makes it so easy to let moments unfold naturally and create an engagement session that feels completely unique to you and your boo.
Fall Engagement Photos in Rochester NY
After the conservatory, we fully committed to Rochester in the fall and it showed UP. Orange leaves, golden trees, crisp air… truly the kind of fall engagement session people dream about. And the first weekend of November?? Unheard of. Usually by then the leaves are gone and you’re deep in the stick season Noah Kahan sings about.
This part of the session was all vibes. Walking, laughing, exploring, stealing benches, and reliving how they got engaged - aka the good stuff. The moments naturally turned into the unposed, relaxed, fun-as-hell photos you see below. Fall in upstate New York has a way of slowing things down and absolutely showing off, and I’m still not over how blessed we were with the orangiest of trees.
Rochester Foodie Engagement Session with Garbage Plates
Because no Rochester engagement session is complete without food - specifically, garbage plates. The holy grail of Rochester cuisine. We wrapped things up at a local favorite, Dogtown, and documented what they actually love doing together: sharing fries, laughing between bites, and soaking in the moment.
Foodie engagement sessions are always a favorite of mine. They’re real, they’re personal, and they tell a story beyond just how things looked, they show how it felt. Plus, when you’re doing something you genuinely love together, that connection always translates into photos in the best way.
